A Dream Vacation

Everyone has dreams, right? How big they are and how we act on them is a different story. When we are children we dream of different things than when we are adults. Since I became an adult, probably since the age of around 20, I have dreamed of going to Australia. When my son was a child we dreamt of going on a safari together in Africa and we still talk about it often but aren’t ready to plan it as of yet.  Each time I think of my dream vacation these are what pops up. Some things are meant to remain dreams and some things can become reality. My husband and I have done our share of traveling and still think of places we want to go and places we actually will go. These two places may continue to remain a dream but one never knows, right? Hitting the lottery would allow any of us to plan that dream without worry. Other reasons we may not go is time. Both of these dreams are time consuming and for me not worth even thinking about if we cannot take the amount of time to travel and do it right. In the past year, we have traveled to another extremelypast present future special place, Hawaii, visiting many islands on a cruise and fulfilled that dream very easily once we put our minds and wallets to it. But the flight was long and after thinking about it with Australia being another X amount of hours from there, actually dreaming and doing it has become less of a reality. I know once we got there it would be worth it but thinking about that many hours in the air is not exciting at this point of our lives. As for Africa, although I know Ebola is under control and chances of contracting it probably very slim, that thought of introducing that kind of danger to any of us also at this time of our lives is not appealing either. So, where I am at is to keep on dreaming and maybe someday they will come true, or maybe come up with some new dreams. What do you suggest?
