Mother Nature

I often blog about my fascination with Mother Nature and her ways of the world. Every year, no matter how horrid the winters may be or even how mild, mother nature shows her true colors  just about the same time each and every year. One day it happens. I walk outside and there they are… birds and their songs, the tips of our plants peaking through the earth, and green reappears. Why? I do realize this is what makes the world go ’round, but it still fascinates me. With all the plowing, shoveling, dumping of snow, rain, and ice, here they finally come, flowers, plants, grass, and animals that need to eat, nest  and also reproduce. My hummingbirds by my kitchen window peek in to see when the feeders will come out and, to my amazement, I hang them and life reappears in my year. Flying, playing, dining, and nesting, all my friends from summers before are here. I like to believe the same ones return and hang out with us all summer, but I cannot be certain.  Humans smile more, have better attitudes, and seem more at ease when spring appears. All I can say is ‘thank you,’ for waking up again and bringing life to my home. Welcome home everyone.
