October Pink

Again, we leave September with Childhood Cancer Awareness month and slip into October, Breast Cancer Awareness month. Loving all the support for all our survivors as well as those still fighting. This month brings home the thoughts of all those women who are diagnosed each year and those women who are still fighting. Will they ever find a cure? I often think. Will they vaccinate us at birth to avoid this genetic disorder from mutating and growing at some point of our lives? Why? Why? Why? is my next question. Every year, we grow in support, as well as research, for all of our cancers for all of us. A person is a person, a child is precious, and for the world to go on, we do understand that there must be death, but the suffering is something I often ponder understanding. Yes, I am brave enough to write about it but not smart enough to fix it. One of my biggest dreams is for us to wake up with no illness, so that the calendar and life just begin and then end. A big wish but a worthy one, right? Maybe I can find a genie and be granted three! A wonderful thought, but for someone who is as realistic as me, keep up the support, the fighting, and the raising awareness to all our illness and this month. Go PINK.
