One Day Left on Earth

I was recently asked if I had one day left on earth, what would I do? What a question that is! It really got me thinking and wondering if that was the real case what would I really do or want? First, I would gather my immediate family and tell them how much I truly love them all. I would share a moment with each one individually and tell them something special that makes me smile about them. I think secondly, I would do the same with my closest friends. I was told once that if in a lifetime you have 5 real friends, you should consider yourself lucky. So if that is the case, my gathering of the closest should not take too much time out of my last day. Again, I would share something special with them and tell them why they are considered my closest and dearest friends.

I would hug my son, my pride and joy, and not let him go for a very, very long moment. I would share my excitement with him on life and love and wish him every happiness and success life has to offer. I would ask him to watch over my grandchildren, making certain they have a full life like he has had the opportunity of having. Then I would again hug him and kiss him on the cheek.

After that was over I would want to maybe go to a favorite place, within reason since I only have one more day, like a special spot of particular beauty or a favorite restaurant and dine with my husband. I would thank him for all the years we have been together and for all the wonderful things we have done and shared together. I will tell him how much I will miss seeing him every day and will wait in heaven for him. Then I would like to take a glass of wine and watch the sunset with him. My day has unfolded as a quiet, happy, last day and should be a perfect memory to take with me as well as leaving my friends and family. last chance
