Reflecting on 2012 – Wallace Middle School

Early in 2012, I spoke at the Wallace Middle School in Vineland NJ. I was thrilled to be invited back and hope that this will continue over the years to come. I love sharing my story with young people. It gives them a chance to open up to us and share if they are going through some issues or have questions they need to ask. Also, it gives them a chance to see that life is not always perfect and that they may feel that they are burdened with problems, but will soon see that most of their problems are not as serious as they think. They ask lots of questions that I am happy to answer and if they want to learn more, they are given the chance to email or call me for more private conversation.

Kids are wonderful and I look forward to bringing them my new comic book version of my story. They should be able to relate to the story and the pictures and learn from my experiences. The donations to The Alesia Shute Foundation make book donations possible. Thank you all for your support to these endeavors in 2012 and I look forward to sharing more in 2013!
