Ten Things I Learned From Being Ill

churchillThis was very interesting to me when I finally sat down to think about it.

1.) I thought I was the only one so ill.

2.) I was shocked to find out that in fact, I was not the only one.

3.) It was important to me to get well.
4.) My parents were amazing people (I knew that before I became ill but really saw it during those 2 years).
5.) My siblings came along for the ride and treated me just as they should, like siblings, normal torture and bickering.
6.) I love my siblings for treating me the same as always and not like a statue who lived in the house.
7.) You certainly learn who your real friends are and those who are not.
8.) I was able to really see the world differently and appreciate all I had, all I have and all I’ve gotten throughout my life.
9.) I learned quickly that giving back is just the right thing to do, making me a better and happier person though out my life.

10.) I love and live life to the fullest, seeing things in such a different way, and appreciating everyone and everything along the way that was there for me to embrace.
Thank you world for being what I needed and learned from through this horrific and wonderful journey. It molded me into who I am as an adult, and I love who I have become.
