The Mitzvah Money

Yesterday I had the honor to attend a wonderful Bar Mitzvah for Josh Heller.

What n amazing boy he is and what an amazing job he did throughout the service. I am getting to know Josh a little better every time we speak online, but when I see him in person, I really see the person he is. I can see what a fine job his parents have done raising him and his interaction with is little brother and his friends is very nice to watch. Turing 13 is a major milestone for a young boy, and he seems to gracefully be handling it very well. Thank you Heller Family for including me in this wonderful family experience.

When I left for party the entire family hugged and kissed and thanked me for attending. Then I was gifted with a check for my foundation for $1,600.00. For those of you who may not already know, Josh had chosen my foundation, as his Mitzvah project. To prepare him for the responsibilities of adulthood, Jewish tradition had him pick a way to “make the world a better place.” He took it to a very modern level and started a facebook page to raise money to purchase 100 books to gift to a charitable organization of his choice. Not only did he reach his goal, he will choose the charity, (to be decided very soon),and he is going to join me and together we are going to gift the books out to families who certainly will benefit from reading my words. How very proud his parents must be. I am bubbling over with pride for him and look forward to our trip together. We will let everyone know of his decision very soon and let you know how we make out as well.
