The Sun Will Shine…Eventually

As some of you know I recently spent a week in the hospital and again escaped not needing surgery for a bowel obstruction. I have experienced 5 in my life so far and hope the last is over. It is a reality check that my life is not completely out of the clear and that for all of us to know that a moment’s notice life can change. I mean a screeching halt, stop, or just an end.

After a week of recovery since I have been home I can smile again since building my strength has been a bit quicker than the last time. I tire halfway through the day, something normal from lying in bed and getting pain medications ’round the clock. Today I am thinking about going back to the gym again, not certain if I am ready but thinking about it is a big step. I am thinking that considering all of my problems, I CHOOSE a healthy lifestyle – I eat well and exercise daily. I was strong and in good shape the day I suddenly became ill and it is playing a major roll on my recovery. So if I have any advice to give to all of you, good diet and exercise is all beneficial to if you become ill, and of course, aging in general.

I can now say, hang in there everyone, the sun will shine eventually. That is what I was patiently waiting for and today it is shining bright and warm.
