To My Sick Friend

Sometimes we take so much for granted.

Even I do at times and I am publicly apologizing for it. My dear friend Nancy has been ill this past week. She is my sounding board, VP of my foundation, and my very very good friend. We do everything together from travel to pedicures, making appearances, to selling raffle tickets. She never says no! Never! She has had a stroke, and is now recovering, but the doctors have found more health issues with her and I want to reach out and tell her and all of you. I have taken her for granted. Nothing is ever suppose to happen to someone so caring, sweet and generous as Nancy. I just assumed she would always be there for me no matter what. Well, here I am worried sick over her health, and struggling to keep my head on for my upcoming event on February 12th. Yes, things are falling into place and I know the event will be wonderful, but Nancy should be here with me and she cannot. It seems unfair to all of us and I want her to know that I appreciate our friendship and all that she does for me and everyone around her. We will get you through this and we will smile and laugh together again, promise. As for my event, I pray you can be there to share the evening, but your laughter and kindness will be there no matter what. Appreciate your true friends, tell them that today!
