5th Annual Evening Of Inspiration

What a lovely evening it was on March 8th for the Evening of Inspiration! With the terrible winter we have had in Southern NJ and the back to back snow and ice storms, nothing could have been more exciting than to hold the event in 50 degree springlike weather. The Mays Landing Country Club once again did an outstanding job. The rooms were beautiful, and the food was perfect. Year after year, they go out of their way to help me make a wonderful evening for my guests. I do hope to have my video of my speech on my website soon for all of you to hear.  From the volunteers to the homemade cupcake centerpieces put together by the culinary students at Hammonton High School to the music and smiles, everything was perfect! I missed a few faces in the crowd this year since there were two other very large events on the same evening. However, I wanted to share with you that we will be making some changes next year, as we have “new” ideas for the evening to help keep things exciting. So, watch for the save the date emails and posts and again, THANK YOU to all who attended and/or sponsored the event. With everyone’s help, I am able to gift out 210 books to various charitable organizations and a $6000 check to CHOP for 3 new Apple computers and other must-have items to help their patients’ hospital stays be more comfortable. This is exactly what my foundation is all about. Corey Petit, our artist, sold numerous works of art in the silent auction, and we raffled off large sums of cash in our two different 50/50’s. When I got up to speak after author and fellow superhero Angelica Harris announced me, I could not help but smile when I looked out at my guests throughout the room. There was a hush in the room when I went to speak, and then dinner and dancing followed along with book signings and even more fun.
