A Good Friend’s Daughter

It always saddens me to hear about a young child struggling in life, especially when her parents cannot pinpoint the problem. Is it puberty, a chemical imbalance, hormones, or just plain, old troubles? There does not even have to be a big issue in the home, but to the person suffering, especially if it’s a young child, it can be something so trivial to us that we just miss it. She cannot express what she is going through to anyone, but it remains on her shoulders each and every day. She does not deserve this, for I know the child of whom I speak personally. She is sweet, cute, and full of life. How sad for both her and her parents. My heart is broken thinking about their struggles of not knowing which way to turn. I cannot make too many suggestions but I did offer a few, and I do hope that through the process of elimination they will conquer this rough patch in her life. This young lady is going into her teen years and soon will have new and perfectly normal things resting upon her little shoulders, just trying to grow up. I send strength and hope to all of you and remind you to keep working if you or loved ones are facing similar issues.  The problems will unfold somehow and then the real work will begin.
