A few tidbits about chidhood cancer to share with you this month. First of all, it is the number one killer of children here in the USA. How sad and shocking to hear this news for me personally and to realize at this point I truly am a survivor. My illness was so very long ago from age 7 and now in my 50’s, I am still here! I still suffer from the backlash of past operations from my childhood but I cannot dwell on this especially when I read this information. The good news is, as time has gone by, the survival rate for most cancers in children is now around 80%. The more we research the more we learn and can experiment and compare and keep these innocent victims alive.
