Graduation Day

Like most of you out there, I’m celebrating my nephew’s graduation from college and his success in becoming a teacher today! Of course he does not have a job as of yet, but I have complete faith that he’ll find one before the summer comes to an end. I wish him all the happiness and success that life has to offer and hope he embraces life to its fullest.

I salute those children who are growing, continuing to grow and becoming our future leaders. I giggle about the times when they vomited on us, cried all day, or sat in the cart at the supermarket in full costume, just because. I salute you all from the bottom of my heart for telling us you wanted to be firemen, artists, dancers, scientists, engineers, etc. Since your dreams are an arms reach away all you need to do is reach for the stars and grab them. Even if you are still struggling to figure out what you want to do when you “grow up,” just remember, some of us are still looking and have floated through life accomplishing other tasks, doing other jobs, facing different directions, and we still wake up thinking we are not sure this is what we want to do. It’s okay to be uncertain and it is also okay to have reached your goals, whatever they may be or where ever they may lead. Just remember along the way to be happy,  work hard, be kind, help others, and do the best you can. That is all you can do.
