When we gift out books to families or when we visit places and chat with people who are going through terrible times, I know when we leave or when they contact me after they read my story that all the work we do with my foundation does “make a difference.” When I begin to work on and complete my Evening of Inspiration each year and realize that we have raised enough money not only to gift hundreds of copies of my books but can gift a substantial donation to CHOP, I lay my head down at night a know that yes, I have made a difference. Sharing my words, giving hope and inspiration , and gifting money to help make a childs hospital stay more confortable makes a huge difference in peoples lives.
Think about how you can make a difference in someones life. You can keep it simple like offering to drive someone child to the game, cooking a meal, or searching organizations online and becoming involved in something dear to your heart. I love to hear from people who would like to help me with my work. There are so many levels to help these groups. Reach out, ask, and see where you land.
