Losing a Friend

feb 25I recently wrote a blog about visiting a very ill friend and how I felt after the visit. One minute we are all here and in the blink of an eye, it is our time to go. Carmen, a long time friend, has left the earth and recently given in to his illnesses. His partner took remarkable care of him, defying the doctors suggestions that months and months ago he not take him home since his care was too much for him to do on his own. Well, Mark did just that and gave Carmen lasting months of life, and I say hats off to you Mark for your devotion to a loved one. Carmen was wonderful, stubborn, difficult, and funny all in one package. Mark’s patience proved that if someone wants to do something and they put their mind to it, they can do anything. I commend you for your love to Carmen and know that Carmen will watch over you throughout the duration of your life as well. Whenever you feel saddened by your loss, just look into the sky and look for the brightest star you can find. Carmen is twinkling above you, smiling at us all, and out of his pain. He is now with angels and all friends past who lost their lives. I think they are all having a martini and toasting life, living it to the fullest while they were here with us, and leaving without any regrets.
