I received my first grant at my event this past February from York Children’s Foundation for the sum of $1000.
What an honor to be gifted this for my foundation and the presentation was so very nice. My friends Vic and Dan presented me this award along with a gentleman named Marc from the foundation. When they handed me the check I felt like crying. For companies, foundations, and people in general to see and respect what I do makes me feel overwhelmed with joy. It began with the desire to write a book, share my story, and in the past few years it has grown beyond just a book. It’s a mission, a job, a gift from me to all of you.
My plans for this grant is not finalized as of yet but the money will be gifting books to a few organizations and of course CHOP will not be forgotten as all. I will keep everyone informed as to the results. I thank you again York Foundation. The money will be well spent.
