Courteous Advice

I have written about social networks recently and I would like to stress that is very important to pay attention to while you are on these sites. Try to always remember to stay courteous while you are asking and giving your opinions and advice. Think of it this way – we all have our opinions on just about everything in life. We love to share those opinions and hope that everyone agrees. But there are instances, especially when asking or giving advice, when not everyone will agree with you. Of course in all ways, that is okay! We are all entitled to those opinions but what I want to stress is to keep yourself in check, remember that you are there to ask, answer, and be supportive, not to “rule the world” or force your opinions on someone. If someone seems harsh or over aggressive in any way toward you also remember to try to tell them honestly, but be courteous to them as well.

Especially when seeking advice and support for a medical issue, remember that there is a medical team with the expertise on the subject but also on your case or your loved ones case. It is good to seek information from others who are having similar experiences, but please discuss them with your doctor. We are all there for support; we leave what we do not want and walk away with what will work.
