Tis The Season

Another year, another holiday. It fades away and reappears within a blink of the eye or so it seems. We just finished chatting about how we are going to handle Thanksgiving and low and behold here are Christmas and Hanukkah looking us in the eye. Again, we drag out the tree and decorations, menorahs, set it all up and begin the gift shopping and baking and wrapping and everything that goes along with whatever we all celebrate. We chat about traditions, our favorite foods, where and when we will all meet, exchange, and celebrate. For me, it is a special time that all family puts life aside with all it’s busyness and we gather and eat, share, laugh, and enjoy each other. We chat about the past year and the year that will come upon us soon. The weather, our recipes, our childhoods and our futures. It’s heartwarming for me and exhilarating, recharging my battery for yet another year. I do hope that I am covering all your festivities as well and wonder if we all do the same on the holidays.
