Visiting Ronald McDonald House

Going to Camden to the Ronald McDonald House is a humbling experience.

It was wonderful to join all these families for dinner and break bread while hearing some of their stories. I have to tell you that the house itself is beautiful, with rooms large enough to sleep families who need to stay there, and at the same time the common areas are so well furnished, and cared for that you can tell everyone who is a part of the operation truly cares for what they do whether they volunteer or are employed my the company. Before and after dinner, I was able to, along with my husband, meet, chat and share heartwarming stories from people of all walks of life, from all over the globe. Some are there for months, days, weeks and some are there for just a night or two. I gifted books to every family and shared my story while listening to there’s. Everyone is unique but all were smiling and comfortable to either chat with us or listen to me. I have already heard from a few of the people who we met just a couple of nights ago since they were gracious both from our visit and our gift. Thanks again to the sponsors who supplied me with the opportunity to gift books. I am always looking for partners to help me be able to gift my books and share my words. Let me know if you are interested in helping me.
