You Never Know

We all need to try to remember to appreciate life as it is and to embrace health, family, and everything that goes along with it. When something happens, you should not look back with regrets and feel ashamed or responsible for something you had no control over. One minute life is just running along just fine and then poof!!!, it begins to unravel. For example, my father has had many, many health problems over the past few years. Growing older and not really taking the right care of himself over the years is taking its toll on him in his 80s. We try to be there and keep up with everything, and at times we think he is ok and things are improving, then the bomb drops. He is back in the hospital and on his way for yet another surgery. Sad, but the reality is, although we are living longer, we need to work on the quality of life. He has had another pacemaker put in, but under the skin because of an infection the last time. Intricate surgery that has left him in extreme pain and wondering why? Lets just hope and pray that the quality of his life improves after this extreme surgery and he can live out his later years able to function as normal as an 80 year old can.So far he is doing very very well.  With that said, my point is to live each day to the fullest, and appreciate all you have and what you have. Life is priceless and so is family. Do not wait until it’s too late.
