It must be MY year of you! When we planned this year to listen to everyone tell us their stories and then respond, I thought it would not be about me at all. However, I have a story that seems to fit into this in an odd way. While I was checking out in the supermarket today, the young man behind the register said, “I decided to ask everyone this question today and see what they would answer. If you were a superhero and had one wish, what would your super power be?” Now what are the chances he would come across me, a future super hero awaiting a new book to come out, standing in his line to check out groceries? Yep, there I was, being asked a rather illogical question that I could actually answer straight-forward! I told him about the upcoming comic, the Crusaders, and a bit about my super powers. I then asked him if he actually thought he would meet a real superhero today, and his big smile told me the answer. I preceded to hand him a card, and I told him to google me and my books. He was very excited when I left, and I hoped he would begin to follow me to see what it would bring. I know I gave him something to think about for the rest of the day, and today became a part of MY year of you.
