My Dear Friend Jean

Without knowing all of the details, my close friend Jean suffered pancreatitis over this past holiday weekend and sent me a text from the hospital. I have not even asked her if she made it through Thanksgiving dinner as of yet because I was so upset she was ill. She has not had her gallbladder removed and is in recovery hoping to be sent home in a few days. When I sit back and think about it, in all the years that I have known her, I have never known her to have more than a virus or a bad cold. Now this! Jean, you are in my prayers and I am thinking of you all day during your surgery and will be by for a visit very soon. Jean has been there over the past few years when, after 20 years, I began to have bowel obstructions again. She took time out of her day to spend with me in the hospital, watching me in pain and giving me some company to take away some of  the monotony of laying in bed all day. I will be there to visit and hope my company gives you the same comfort that you gave to me when I was down and out. Take care of yourself and get on your feet quickly. We all need you up and running soon my friend. like
