Under the Weather

100_2052It’s bound to happen to us all and when it does it hits like a ton of bricks. Feeling ill, scratchy, stuffy, and fatigued. It must be my turn, but I am working on fighting it off. Seems like when it does hit, you have to just let it run it’s course in order feel better. For me, I like to nurse myself with lots of liquids, rest when I can, and of course, soup. My favorite one that helps me feel better is homemade chicken soup with matzo balls.

When your child becomes ill with everyday aliments like this it still seems difficult to make them happy and comfortable. I suggest all of the above with a touch of patience to get through the tough few days of a good old fashioned cold. Most important is keeping yourself healthy from the same under the weather feeling. Washing your hands and making sure all tissues are thrown in the trash as well as the rest and hydration will only benefit you in the end. For some reason, I am usually one who catches a cold when the weather changes to drastic or someone I am spending time with has something they are treating. I almost always catch it since I think I have a weaker immune system. Fingers crossed I can dump this thing soon and for all of you, try to STAY HEALTHY.
