Do you ever wonder, who has cancer?
For your information,there are 14 million cancer survivors in the country. Three out of every four families will have a family member with cancer. That alone is a staggering number! But the answer to the question I ask, anyone and everyone is at risk of this terrible, crippling disease. There are no boundaries as to age, color, or gender. We all can get it! The thing we most want to be aware of is to catch it before it catches us. The National Cancer Institute/The Office of Cancer Survivorship has been created to help us understand the length and quality of life and living with cancer, and also life after cancer. This month, I will be sharing with you my experiences, both good and bad, and hope that these experiences with both enlighten and educate you. We will also be discussing aspects of life after cancer and how it impacts everyone around you.
I do hope that my words and sharing experiences will help you get through whatever crisis you are having, but if you feel you need to speak with someone immediately I need to remind you to contact a medical professional.
