A few days ago when I opened our newspaper, it was exciting to see that a local girl won Miss New Jersey. I have been friends, both personally and through business, with her older brother for years and I am certain that he and the entire family are bubbling over with pride and excitement over this accomplishment. Lindsey Petrosh has accomplished a lot in her short life and this is a big deal for both her personally and for the local recognition in our area. She has followed all of the stepping stones and won them to reach this goal; I feel like it is a daughter I am writing about, that’s how proud of her I am for setting a goal and achieving it. How very exciting for us now to watch the Miss America Pageant and see if she can bring it all home or at least be a runner up! Good luck Miss Lindsey, or shall I say Miss New Jersey!
We all want to be fairy princesses when we are little girls. Then, we dream of becoming the prom queen, being the most popular, or just being recognized by our peers as someone who should be remembered. We all want to dress up in pretty costumes and dance around, all while performing for our families at dinners, holidays, and everyday fantasies in our minds. Well, some of us reach beyond this dream and fantasy and actually accomplish this. We look forward to seeing how this young lady does and wish that all her dreams do come true!
